Hi, I’m Rehaana

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Art Therapy Student

My Approach

My approach to therapy begins with kindness, compassion and collaboration.

You are just as much a part of the therapeutic process as I am. If we don’t work together towards your healing, we won’t get there. You are in charge of where we go, how deep we go, and how we get there. My job is to support your healing, guide you with observations and questions that respect the unique experiences that brought you here.

I lead my practice with the understanding that we all operate within systems: family systems, cultural systems and social structures that affect where we are in our lives, how we move through the world and how people treat us.

My practice is anti-oppressive, Queer-inclusive, anti-colonial and anti-racist. So much of how we move throughout our world is defined by those systems, and framed by white-supremacy. That framing affects our communities and us as individuals in different ways, and I support Queer and BIPoC clients with this framework in mind.

I use both talk therapy and art therapy in my practice.

Using art to support you in your healing journey can seem intimidating, but creative practice is both freeing and therapeutic. Getting your creative juices flowing helps to ground the mind, settle your nervous system, and can help you work through challenges and obstacles.

I believe in dismantling systems of oppression and that community can be a powerful source of support.

While our time in the therapy space is valuable, I hope to help empower you to engage in the communities that feel nourishing to you.
