Individual Therapy

I offer residents of Ontario 1-on-1 therapy virtually.

As an art therapy student and RP (Qualifying), I’m trained in integrating artmaking into our sessions, while still able to provide talk-therapy. The ratio of art vs. talk depends on what works best for you!

The first step to starting individual therapy services is e-mailing me at therapywithrehaana@protonmail.com. Some helpful information to include would be general details about yourself, a brief description of why you’re seeking therapy, whether you are interested in virtual or in-person sessions, and your general availability for appointment days/times.

Free 15-20 minute phone call

Prior to booking our first full-length appointment, we will have a free 15-20 minute phone call to go over some details, including your goals for therapy. This is also an opportunity for you to gauge whether I feel like a good fit for you–not all therapists are a good match for all prospective clients!

Please note that I will not officially be your therapist at this time, so I am not ethically able to provide psychotherapy services during this phone call. It is more about us both getting to know each other a little bit, and ensure my services are right for you.

Documentation

I will send you some documents to complete if you decide to move forward with working together. The documents will include important information like emergency contact information, privacy and confidentiality details, and an agreement confirming your consent to me providing you with psychotherapy services. Once these are completed and returned, we can start the real work!

Policies and Procedures

Payment & Fees

I charge $100* per individual session, which are 60 minutes in length. An invoice will be sent to you for payment via e-transfer, and a receipt will be sent once payment is received.

There is a one-time $50 charge for processing pre-session intake documentation that will be added to your initial appointment cost.

*Please note that you will not be charged HST, as HST is no longer applicable to psychotherapy services in Canada.

Initial Appointment

The first session will be an opportunity for me to start learning more about you, and an assessment of your needs, goals, and preferences for therapy. If you’re able to, it is recommended that the initial appointment be 90 minutes in length.

Cancellations

Cancellations might sometimes be necessary (unforeseen obligations, illness, etc), and it is important to provide as much notice as possible of your cancellation. Missed appointments and short notice cancellations (less than 24 hours) are subject to cancellation fees. Get in touch as soon as possible if you are not going to attend at your reserved time in order to avoid incurring costs. Please note that most insurance does not reimburse for missed sessions.

If you give less than 24 hours notice of cancellation, the following fees apply:

  • Missed appointment/no show/less than 2 hrs notice: full session fee

  • Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice: $25 to cover the booked time slot
