A little about me…

How people move through their worlds has always fascinated me. As a trained Anthropologist I spent much of my life trying to understand culture and systems and how we move through them as individuals and part of communities. I am also an illustrator and I love to create, both personally and professionally.

I have spent many years in many places as a student, at the University of Toronto, at York University, at SOAS and most recently at the Toronto Art Therapy Institute.

As a student of people and where they come from with a deeply rooted sense of empathy, Art Therapy is an amazing way to combine my interests but also offer a source of support, kindness and hopefulness.

I hope that I can offer you a joyous and hopeful place to breathe, feel and grow.

My experience

Student Art Therapist
Oak Valley Mental Health Inpatient Unit, Markham Stouffville Hospital // 2024-Present

In an inpatient unit, I deliver group art therapy to support adults dealing with mental health challenges, trauma, and addiction. Working with clients of diverse abilities, I adapt art directives to meet individual needs, fostering peer support, resilience, and growth.

Student Art Therapist
Toronto District School Board // 2023-Present

I provide one-on-one talk and art therapy for children aged 6 to 14, using art as a tool to address family, personal, and community challenges. Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and a Social Worker, I co-create treatment plans focused on trauma processing, confidence building, and emotional well-being. I support clients in developing strategies for coping, emotional regulation, and executive functioning while also offering psychoeducation to parents and caregivers.

Student Art Therapist
Early ON Centre - HeartBeatz // 2024

I facilitated group counseling for parents and caregivers, drawing on various therapeutic approaches to address issues related to childcare, child-rearing, and maternal health. I co-created a program focused on emotional regulation, strengths-based art making, self-care, and building self-esteem. Together, we developed strategies for coping, confidence building, and integrating self-care into daily routines.

Prior to my art therapy training, I worked as a Child and Youth worker at various agencies.
